UTSI OFFERING 3 SHORT COURSES IN SEPTEMBER

Vacancies exist in three one-day short courses scheduled in September at The University of Tennessee Space Institute, according to Becky Stines, director of Continuing Education.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, Level 1, will be held on Sept. 14 and Level 2 of the same course on Sept. 18. A third course, Visual Basic Applications (VBA), is set for Sept. 27. Fee for each of these classes is $99, and class size is limited.

In the VBA class, Stines said, students will learn how to simplify their work in the Excel environment by automating many of the repetitive tasks that are part of spreadsheet development.”

Upon completion of this class, she added, students will be able to develop macros, format worksheets, create an interactive worksheet, work with multiple worksheets and perform calculations.
