UTSI students Will Robinson and Joel Thompson
(pictured above with EMS students) volunteered their time to help
East Middle School with Rocket Day held for Ms. Connie Tunstill’s
Science class. Robinson and Thompson helped set up the launching
stations for the students and also assisted the students with
surviving rockets in a drag race at the end of the day for extra
fun. Ms. Tunstill praised Robinson and Thompson for their help and
commented that “they were very kind and set a wonderful example for
the students of what you can do with a good math and science
background.” Robinson and Thompson also gave the students advice for
launching and repairing their rockets which allowed all the science
students to experience seeing their hard work on the rockets come to
completion.
