Donation to UTSI

Jacobs, Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA), Jacobs’ Technology Group, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and General Physics have teamed up to make a $100,000 donation to The University of Tennessee Space Institute over the next three years as part of The Campaign for Tennessee. ATA General Manager David Elrod said, “This donation goes hand-in-hand with the AEDC Technical Excellence Initiative. UTSI plays a critical role in sustaining and growing our employee’s expertise.” Dr. Elrod is shown above, at left in the front row, presenting the first $33,000 installment of the donation to Dr. Don Daniel, UTSI’s Chief Operating Officer, with Ward Johnson, Technology Group General Manager, at right. In the back row are Jim Nicholson, Chief Operating Officer of CSC’s Applied Technology Division, Rogers Starr, President of Jacobs Technology, Doug Sharp, President of General Physics Corporation and Jim Uselton, ATA Board member. These corporations would like to extend a challenge to other area businesses to participate in The Campaign for Tennessee by supporting our local UT campus right here in Tullahoma—UTSI. –UTSI Photo by Shanna Relford
