THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE
HUMAN RESOURCES PROCEDURE
Subject: University Code of Conduct
Revision (12): 07/01/2015
Behavior on the part of employees of The University of Tennessee Space Institute that is in violation of the University Code of Conduct in Human Resources Policy 580 may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate discharge. The Code of Conduct list is illustrative in nature, and other events and occurrences may result in disciplinary action. The Code of Conduct will be discussed with employees in orientation sessions and posted in conspicuous places.
In order to maintain a healthy educational environment and workplace, the university has taken several steps related to smoking on campus. All buildings are smoke-free. State law–effective July 1, 2006–requires that all smoking activity and all previously designated-smoking areas be moved outside. For more information, please see Safety Policy SA0900, Smoking.
