University of Tennessee President John Petersen
will be in Tullahoma on Aug. 1 to visit The University of Tennessee
Space Institute as part of his tour of UT campuses across the state.
Dr. Petersen will begin his tour on Monday, July 30 at UT Martin and
will work his way back across the state to return to Knoxville on
Friday, Aug. 3.
“As Tennessee’s flagship, land-grant institution, the state is our
campus,” Petersen said. “With a presence in all 95 Tennessee
counties, we truly are serving Tennesseans in every county, and
we’re making the future better for all Tennesseans.”
While at UTSI, Dr. Petersen will visit the Aviation Systems
Department located at the Tullahoma Airport. He will then attend a
luncheon with area legislators, civic and business leaders, UT
trustees and members of the UTSI Support Council at the Stagger Wing
Museum, also located at the airport.
Following the luncheon, Dr. Petersen will travel to the UTSI campus,
where he will address the faculty and staff in a question and answer
session. “I am always delighted to have Dr. Petersen visit UTSI. All
of us at the Institute value his support and the great job he is
doing in Knoxville, Nashville, Washington and the many other places
he carries the banner for the entire UT System,” said UTSI Chief
Operating Officer Don Daniel.
