Tim
Troutman, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with The National
Weather Service, and Franklin County Emergency Management Agency
Director Eric Trussell will present a two-hour Weather Spotter
training session at UTSI on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
The
pair will present a video on differentiating the various types of
cloud formations, specifically to determine those with the potential
for severe weather. The training session will also clarify
specific weather conditions pre-eminent to severe weather.
This very informative session will teach individuals when to be
alert to conditions that could pose a threat, and when normal
weather patterns present no cause for alarm.
This training is free and open to the public. Please call Wes
McMinn, UTSI’s Safety Officer and Facilities Director, at 393-7313
if you would like to attend.
