Advanced education and research are integral parts of The University of Tennessee Space Institute programs. Our graduate education and research areas are focused on interdisciplinary programs in aerospace, mechanical and materials engineering, physics, aviation systems, and engineering management. Integrated, advanced and interdisciplinary education and research in addition to our small size are our advantage in providing the most up-to-date educational experiences. Most of the UTSI students are teaming with their faculty advisors on leading edge research areas with scientific significance and of national relevance. Our faculty work closely with government organizations and industry to help solve technological problems and to improve competitiveness of our community.
