UTSI 2018 Summer Research Intern Program for Undergraduate Students
The Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering (MABE) Department at the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) is offering summer internships to qualified undergraduates. Interns will participate in a rigorous summer research program, working closely with senior MABE faculty. Additional educational opportunities will be provided, including engineering seminars, a career panel discussion, and intern presentations.

Salary: $3510 stipend ($13.00/hr x 30 hrs/wk x 9 wks)
Location: UTSI campus in Tullahoma, Tennessee
Starts On: June 11, 2018* Ends On: August 10, 2018*
Travel: Possible visits to other campuses and/or Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) Housing: A limited amount of on-campus housing will be available.
This internship is open to undergraduate students who are majoring in physics, chemistry, material science, computer science, mathematics, and all branches of engineering. Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• must be 18 years of age
• must be a US citizen
• must major in one of the above-mentioned or related fields
• must have an interest in attending graduate school at UTSI
Candidate should also have enthusiasm for research, a desire to learn, and the ability to work well with others. A letter of recommendation must be included with the candidate’s application.
