Alicia Sherrod Takes 2nd Place at AIAA Student Conference

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) sponsors student conferences in each of AIAA’s six regions of the U.S. to help encourage students to discuss research, share knowledge, and generate interest in the field of aerospace engineering.  The students’ papers and presentations are sorted into three categories, Undergraduate, Masters, and Undergraduate Team.  This year at Region II Student Conference in Cocoa Beach, one of UT Space Institute’s students Alicia Sherrod took second place in the Masters Category on her paper and presentation entitled, “Simulation of Langmuir Probe Response to a Non-Maxwellian Plasma.”  Alicia is majoring in mechanical engineering and her advisor is MABE Professor; Trevor Moeller.  Congratulations Alicia!!
