Engineer’s Week this year was February 22 – 28 and UTSI welcomed 47 bright minds from eight schools for our annual Engineering Design Competition. Students from Cascade High School, Coffee County, Community High School, Franklin County, Lincoln County, Shelbyville Central, Tullahoma High School, and Warren County put their creativity and engineering skills to the test. For the project, each team was tasked in building a bridge for their hot wheels car to safely travel across.

1st Place: Dean Cooper & Luis Gonzalez, Warren County

2nd Place: Drake Heath & JT Ray, Community High School

3rd Place: Owen Conor, Community High School

A special shoutout to Rylan Watson & Presley Rooker from Coffee County for earning Honorable Mention as the only team to fully complete the course with their project design.
