Information Technology (IT) exists solely as a service/support function to the UTSI family.
Our goal is to provide:
- a stable network/server infrastructure with capacity for growth
- hardware (PCs, printers, etc.) that enable users to focus on the task at hand
- a phone system that is integrated with our network
- services and technologies that keep us connected
- consulting that allows users to work smarter and more efficiently
Information Technology HelpDesk is the first step in obtaining support, for any configuration, malware/spyware, troubleshooting, or other technology-related issue. All requests will require you to enter request details. Sign into HelpDesk using your UTSI credentials.

Backups and Recovery
The IT Department provides server-based shared folders that are backed up every 24-Hours. You can request space on the shared drive by emailing email@example.com
The IT Department does not back up your local hard drive, local folders on your devices, or data from onsite clusters. The user is responsible for backing up their data to either the shared server or their Onedrive account.
These loaner items are intended as temporary loans. Your use of these items should have some academic purpose. Laptops, projectors, and a digital camera are available.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to request equipment.
The Computer Lab in the Library is equipped with thin clients instead of full blown computers. These clients will login to a “Virtual Desktop”. You will login using the instrutions posted in the lab.
There are no DVD-RWs on these clients, however, you can use the USB ports to access a flash drive, external hard drive, etc. The devices will be mounted automatically after inserting into the port. This will be the only way to save data off the virtual desktop.
When you finish your lab session, please be sure to clear any cookies or logins you may have made by clicking Options, then Disconnect and Log Off.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.– 5 p.m.
