Computational Science Camp at UTSI

For the past two weeks Camp Instructor Bob Gotwals has been holding a Computational Science Camp at the University of Tennessee Space Institute in Tullahoma, teaching 15 eighth and ninth graders and one teacher the technologies, techniques, and tools of computational science and the close relationship between math and science. Students have even dipped into a little computer programming during camp. Shown here from left to right in the back row are Gotwals, campers Ethan Reed, Sarah Hall, Nica Abler, Faith McKinney, Franklin County Teacher Katie Modesitt, Kevin Brown and UTSI Summer Intern Dustin Pierce. Front row shows campers Bradley Scarlett, Alan McKendrick, Colton Clark, Breanna Taylor and Brittany Ramos-Janeway. Absent for the picture were Thomas Knies and Rachel Wade.
