The annual Spring Graduate reception was held on May 6, 2014 in the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) main lobby. The annual reception is held in honor of those students who earned their graduate degrees since the previous summer. This year’s guest speaker was former AEDC Commander, retired Major General Michael Wiedemer, who currently works at AMTEC Corporation as a Senior Consultant. The event was well attended by family, friends and members of UTSI. Graduates present to be acknowledged for earning a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering were Roy Lugos and John Lamb; Engineering Science were Khoy Callwood and Antonio Moré; Mechanical Engineering were Justin Garrard and Nicolas Reed and in Physics were Christopher Helstern and David Surmick. Receiving their Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering were Borja Martos, Andrew Wilson and Trevor Elliott; Mechanical Engineering was Richard Thompson and in Engineering Science was Mark Callender.
